Wet trail conditions are present where the trail crosses the edge of a beaver vly 2.4 miles in from the wilderness boundary at Indian Lake. Fallen trees and encroaching vegetation may impede travel on the interior trail segments closer to Horn Lake.

Read on DEC's siteAccess to many popular destinations in the West Canada Lakes Wilderness from the Jessup River Road (Perkins Clearing) and Limekiln Lake-Cedar River Road (Moose River Plains Complex) is limited in off season months due to seasonal road closures. Motor vehicle access to the Spruce Lake Trailhead, Pillsbury Mountain/French Louie Trailhead, Brooktrout Lake Trailhead and others is prohibited.
