Data feed & embeds
ADK Trails can appear on any website: drop in a widget, or read the same data as JSON. Everything updates automatically from NYS DEC several times an hour.
Embed a widget
Paste this where the widget should appear. It sizes itself to fit.
<div data-trail-conditions="alerts" data-zone="high-peaks"></div>
<script src="https://adk-trails.netlify.app/embed.js" async></script>Or one trail's status:
<div data-trail-conditions="trail" data-trail="cascade-mountain-trail"></div>
<script src="https://adk-trails.netlify.app/embed.js" async></script>No JavaScript allowed? A plain iframe works too: <iframe src="https://adk-trails.netlify.app/embed/alerts/high-peaks" style="width:100%;height:360px;border:0"></iframe>

When you show this data
- Show the disclaimer and when the data was last checked, as the widgets do.
- If
dataStatusisn't"ok", say so — don't present old alerts as current. - Credit NYS DEC as the source and link to the alert's
sourceUrl.
